A native of Bradford, Pennsylvania, Marta has been living in Florida for over 50 years. She and her husband Bob have resided in the town of Jupiter Island since 1999. Marta is a former English teacher at Nova High School in Ft. Lauderdale. She received her AB in History and English from Lake Erie College and her Master's in Education from the University of Florida.
Marta was a stay-at-home mom on Singer Island for 20 years, as her youngest of three children was mentally disabled. She has supported many activities for the handicapped, especially The Children's Golf Foundation and The ARC-sponsored Potentials School in Riviera Beach.
Marta recently is active in the Hobe Sound area and has become an avid birder since joining Audubon of Martin county. She serves as a lector at St. Christopher's church and is a member of CCW. Her other interests include: travel, photography, hiking, working out, and reading.
Marta and Bob have been married for 45 years and have two grandchildren.
